Four years ago actor and comedian John Ritter was 54 when he collapsed on the TV set of his show ("8 Simple Rules ... For Dating My Teenage Daughter)--and died of a heart attack at the hospital.

The procedure for treating a heart attack is the "exact opposite" of what a patient with Ritter's condition would have undergone, according to legal papers filed by lawyers for the plaintiffs in their medical malpractice and personal injury action.

Part of the suit related to Ritter’s death, who was a beloved comic performer (Three’s Company) and the son of Western Movie star Tex Ritter, is how much he might have earned if he continued with his hit TV show.

If you suffer an injury as a result of a car accident in Upstate New York Call a New York Injury Attorney

A car accident happened on December twentieth, 2008. The accident was located in New Baltimore, NY.

Early Saturday, Jay Katon, 22, of Alburg, VT, was in the right lane going up the New York State Thruway, south of Albany. His car cut across into the other lane to try to make a U-turn that is not prohibited on the Thruway. Katon’s vehicle crashed into a truck when he was making an illegal turn. Katon drove his car in front of the truck as it was going down the passing lane. The vehicle was a tractor-trailer.

Everyone in the vehicle at the time of the car accident survived the crash withthe execption of a six month old child. Sadly, a six-month-old little boy was killed in the accident. After being involved in the crash, the infant was brought to an Albany Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Katon as well as three other passengers received medical care at the hospital.

Any person who suffers an injury in an accident should seek the help of a New York Injury Lawyer. It seems as though the cause of the crash was the illegal U-Turn along the Thruway. A good New York Injury lawyer can help you assert your legal rights which may include recovering money for damages.

Although motorcycles share the road with cars and trucks, collisions involving a motorcycle are different and often more serious than automobile accidents.

Collision Prone

Motorcycles (on average) are involved in more collisions than other vehicles. In addition to all of the usual things that cause accidents (speeding, bad weather, driving under the influence), motorcyclists face certain other hazards. Motorcycles are smaller than cars and trucks and they are sometimes harder to see. In over half of the cases studied, the drivers of cars involved in a collision with a motorcycle said that they did not see the motorcyclist coming. The smaller size of a motorcycle also makes it more vulnerable to road hazards. And, because motorcycles are more maneuverable than cars, they are sometimes put into unsafe positions.
