Cop Seeks Damages Over ‘Racially Motivated’ Arrest, Says a New York Injury Lawyer

A NYPD sergeant is claiming that her recent arrest by a police captain for violating an expired order of protection was “racially motivated”, and seeks $11 million in restitution. The sergeant is black and the captain is white.
“I was surrounded by white supervisors and felt they wanted to hang me,” the sergeant told a New York Injury Lawyer of her arrest inside the 111th Precinct in Queens.
The sergeant says she was only following orders when she was told to bring in her 17-year-old son for a suspect lineup related to a robbery. The victim of the robbery was unable to identify him.
An order of protection against the sergeant had been filed earlier, after the sergeant allegedly hit her son, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. She was on modified duty because of this.
Her captain claimed she was violating the order by bringing her son in. Even though the sergeant claimed the order was no longer in effect, the captain arrested her anyway. “I felt like a perp, a prisoner, a criminal,” she told a New York Injury Lawyer.
If you or a loved one is harmed by someone and criminal law doesn’t quite seem to cover it, you have recourse to justice in a New York Injury Attorney. There is no reason to let someone get away with wronging you when you can enlist a New York Injury Attorney to fight for you in court.

Egg Recall in multiple states calls for more eggs, says a New York Injury Lawyer

No one wants to get sick from their food. One of the main jobs of governmental agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration is to ensure the quality of the food bought at grocers and in restaurants, but it looks as if there has been a major oversight recently. After hundreds of people have become sick as a result of Salmonella poisoning, health officials have decided recall an even higher number of eggs, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. Originally, the recall was for about 228 million eggs, but that number has now risen to 380 million.

According to a New York Injury Lawyer, people have been getting sick in states all over the United States. Fortunately, so far no deaths have been reported. It is known that eggs have been linked to illnesses in Colorado, California, Minnesota, Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, and Texas, although with how widespread those states are, it is entirely possible that more will become sick in other states.

Currently, the Food and Drug Administration is investigating the outbreak. The barns of several Iowa farms are being checked to ensure that no more tainted eggs get out, says a New York Injury Lawyer. No word has been given as of yet as to whether any of those who have become sick will be suing, but it is hard to imagine that they will not, as the cases will likely be very simply settled for substantial sums of money. Fortunately, none of the likely suits are for a fatal case of salmonella.

No one expects a product they use everyday to cause sickness or injury. In such cases, a New York Injury Attorney can help you. Producers of food products should be held accountable for insufficient handling and practices. If you or your family has been affected by tainted food, call a New York Injury Attorney for a

Family Claims Trauma Caused by Sight of Orca Killing a Trainer, NY City Injury Lawyer Says

A New Hampshire family has filed a suit against SeaWorld, on behalf of a 10-year-old boy who watched an orca attack and drown a trainer.
The boy’s parents took their son to Florida in February to celebrate his 10th birthday, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. According to the parents, their son looked straight into the trainer’s eyes as she briefly freed herself and attempted to swim away. The complaint says he “saw the look of horror and desperation on [the trainer’s] face as she was swimming for her life.”
Nightmares have plagued the boy ever since, the family told a New York Injury Lawyer. He became hysterical as he saw the trainer dragged around the tank. “He never cried much before. Now he’s angry all the time. And he’s not eating. The school’s had some counseling for him,” said the boy’s mother.
The parents filed a negligence lawsuit, the day after the Labor Department reprimanded SeaWorld for regularly putting the trainer in mortal danger – the orca had already killed twice before, New York Injury Lawyers have learned.
It is rumored that the trainer’s widower is planning a wrongful death suit. SeaWorld will not offer comment on any impending litigation.
Personal injury can come in many forms, but all of it is traumatic. Those who afflict that trauma should not be allowed to get away with it, which is why a New York Injury Attorney is so important. If you want your case to have the best possible representation, a New York Injury Lawyer is your best possible choice.

Use of Antibiotics on Farm Animals Questioned, New York Injury Lawyer Says

On the large, concentrated farms that are the standard of American agriculture today, it is common to give pigs antibiotics from an early age, first to ward off illness while they are still vulnerable after weaning, and again to promote faster growth with less feed, New York Injury Lawyers have learned.
There are an increasing number of medical experts who are concerned by the practice, however. They are worried that it will cause the proliferation of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, like the strains of E. coli that cause millions of bladder infections every year, or resistant salmonella and other microbes.
The Food and Drug Administration may be about to impose some new guidelines, according to a New York Injury Lawyer. These guidelines will be voluntary and will not have the binding force of regulations. They would entail stopping the use of drugs to promote faster growth and closer oversight by veterninarians.
Many of the practices in what is known as factory farming are under attack, including animal confinement methods and safety monitoring, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. Livestock producers argue that there has been no direct link shown between farm animals and human illness.
Injury can come to you or a loved one from the most unexpected sources – that does not negate the fact that you should be compensated for time or money lost. Let a New York Injury Attorney help you gain that compensation and get your life back to normal. You will need proper representation and sound legal advice. A New York Injury Attorney can provide both.

Five-Hour Bronx Fire Burns Down Businesses, Says NY Injury Lawyer

A Bronx fire burned on for more than five hours before firefighters could get it under control, destroying a row of businesses, according to New York Injury Lawyers.
It was a six-alarm fire which seems to have started in a music store on White Plains Road in Riverdale, sometime around 12:30 a.m. and it continued to burn into 5:50 a.m. the FDNY told a New York Injury Lawyer. One of the store owners, 48, had just moved his store from across the street. They were set to celebrate the reopening during the upcoming weekend. “It’s devastating, we lost everything,” he told a New York Injury Lawyer.
About 12 of the 230 firefighters on the scene suffered injuries, but none of the injuries were life-threatening. No civilians were hurt. Among the facilities destroyed were a furniture store, a nail salon, a store-front church, and a grocery store.
“How are we going to rebuild?” asked the owner of the grocery store. “Where is the money going to come from?” New York Fire Department investigators have informed New York Injury Lawyers that they do not know the cause of the fire as of yet.
Even when something catastrophic occurs to your property, hope is not yet lost, when there are New York Injury Attorneys ready to assist. You may have suffered a great loss, but a New York Injury Attorney will work tirelessly to see that you receive the compensation you deserve.

Toyota Acknowledges Software Bug in Black Boxes, New York Injury Lawyer Reports

Toyota has formally stated there was a software bug in the device they used to read their black boxes, which resulted in incorrect data, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. This revelation came only months after the car manufacturer used the information gained from the boxes to say that it was human error, not mechanical failure that caused sudden acceleration.
The automaker says the problem has been corrected and the black boxes will no longer give incorrect data on speed. They assured New York Injury Lawyers that only the speed was recorded incorrectly, not readings for pedal and brake application, which were primary factors in determining the cause of sudden acceleration.
Nonetheless, the admission from Toyota makes the data taken from the black boxes more than a little suspect. Since the sudden acceleration problem has arisen, Toyota as issued more than 11 million recall notices and has been served hundreds of lawsuits.
“You can’t rely on event data recorders to determine whether there has been a sudden acceleration event,” the executive director of an auto safety group told a New York Injury Lawyer. “We can’t take Toyota at face value that the EDR is accurate enough to clear them of responsibility for sudden unintended acceleration.”
If someone causes you or a loved one injury, whether a single individual, or a major corporation, it is still their duty to provide you compensation. A New York Injury Attorney is available for just such occasions. Your case needs the best possible representation and a New York Injury Attorney can provide it.

Teen Girl Claims Tyra Banks Show Violated Her Privacy, says New York Injury City Lawyer

It sounds like something that would sell on TV: a 15 year old girl with an addiction to sex talks to a world famous supermodel about her problems. And that's exactly what happened, says a New York Injury Lawyer. The girl first appeared on the Tyra Banks Show to discuss her self admitted addiction to sex. Now the girl is suing the Tyra Banks TV Show and Tyra Banks herself, claiming that the TV show violated her right to privacy and exploited her for monetary purposes, reports a New York Injury Lawyer.

The suit alleges that the Tyra Banks TV Show put the girl on air without first obtaining legally required parental consent and that as a result the girl was emotionally damaged by having to endure the humiliation of discussing her sex addiction problem on national TV, says a New York Injury Lawyer. The girl claims her damages amount to $3 Millions. Attorneys close to the situation claim that the exploitation was done to drive up ratings - deliberately drive up ratings - in a crass attempt to make money. Further, say attorneys for the plaintiff girl, the actions taken by the Tyra Banks TV Show also portrayed the girl in a pornographic fashion, notes a New York Injury Lawyer. Representatives for the Tyra Banks TV Show have not answered the complaint.

In addition to the Tyra Banks TV Show, Warners Bros Entertainment was also sued, says a New York Injury Lawyer. They are the parent company of TruTV which airs the Tyra Banks TV Show.

Invasion of privacy is a serious offense and can lead to emotional damage that lasts a lifetime. If you're privacy has been invaded you should contact a New York Injury Attorney immediately.

Boat Captain Sues Philadelphia, Reports NYC Injury Lawyer

The captain of a tour boat has brought a lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia and the operators of a tugboat that pushed a city barge into the smaller tour boat, resulting in the deaths of two Hungarian tourists, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer.
The 59-year-old boat captain stated to a New York Injury Lawyer that he may not even recover from the injuries he suffered in the crash or be able to ever work in that capacity again.
The captain feared for his life when he was trapped underwater with his passengers in the Delaware River. According to him, the crash is the result of the negligence of the defendants. He suffered injuries to his back, head, neck, arms, and legs, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer.
The parents of the slain Hungarian tourists have also pressed their own lawsuits. The 33-foot tour boat was stalled in the river when the 250-foot barge ran into it. The crash threw all the passengers, the captain, and his deckhand overboard, trapping everyone under the barge.
All distress calls to the barge went unanswered, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. The captain had shut down his air horn, due to smoke coming from his electrical system, and the barge had no lookout.
“Although other vessels heard Duck Boat 34’s radio calls, the tugboat did not respond to [the captain’s] radio transmissions and did not change its course,” an attorney for the tour boat captain told a New York Injury Lawyer.

Mother of Boy Killed by Bus at Disney Files Suit, Reports NY Injury Lawyer

The mother of a 9-year-old boy killed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge in April 2010 has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against both Disney Parks and Resorts and the driver of the bus that ended the boy’s life, sources tell a New York Injury Lawyer.
The boy died after he ran his bike into the side of a passing Disney bus and was pulled under the wheels. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the child’s dirt bike was in “unsafe condition” due to a flat bicycle tire, which they say caused the accident. The lawsuit claims the reason to be sidewalk conditions and the park bus system.
The lawsuit states pedestrians have to step off the sidewalk and onto the road or unpaved wetland area to avoid cyclist and other pedestrians. There are railing and steep gullies that prevent others from stepping toward the park itself when trying to pass others, the complaint reads. “Consequently, contact between a pedestrian and a bus or vehicle was reasonably foreseeable to occur and therefore cause serious injury or death to the pedestrian,” says the lawsuit.
According to New York Injury Lawyers, the lawsuit calls for damages in excess of $15,000. A Disney spokeswoman claimed the driver was not at fault. She did say to a New York Injury Lawyer, “It doesn’t lessen the sadness we feel for the [family of the boy].” She also said it was “inappropriate to comment further as the matter is in litigation.”
Nothing can take back a tragedy, but some justice can be obtained through the skill of a New York Injury Attorney. You will need proper representation when it comes to pressing a lawsuit and there can be no better representation than a New York Injury Lawyer.

Famed Attorney Boies May Help Suit Against BP, Reports New York Injury Lawyer

He’s just finished an examination in the highly public McCourt divorce case, but now David Boies is moving on to something of even higher profile – the suit against BP involving the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, sources tell a New York Injury Lawyer.
David Boies has asked for a seat on the committee in charge of multidistrict litigation against the British oil company and other corporate defendants who may have been involved in the April 2010 explosion that lead to a three-month long oil spill, according to New York Injury Lawyers.
Although BP has already opened up a $20 billion compensation fund for victims of the oil spill, litigation against the oil company is still very likely. A New Orleans district judge has received roughly 300 consolidated cases regarding BP and the spill, and he has called for lawyers with suits against the defendants to submit applications for a seat on the committee.
The judge says that among the criteria he will consider will be the willingness of the applicant to provide years of legal work, and experience in complicated legal matters and the ability to work well as a team or in a group, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer. Boies had no comment on his application.
Boies was quoted as being critical of the Obama administration’s moratorium on deepwater drilling after the oil rig explosion. He liked to believe that BP would have “stepped up to it anyway” rather than “sort of being clubbed into this”.
Nothing can take back the damage caused when someone harms your livelihood, but you can still be compensated for the loss with the help of a New York Injury Attorney. A New York Injury Attorney has the knowledge and skill to represent you properly in court and bring a swift just end to your case.

Father Protests Freedom of Dog That Bit His 4-Year-Old Daughter, New York Injury Lawyer Reports

A dog that was slated to be euthanized after attacking a 4-year-old Riverdale girl was recently released, over the protests of the girl’s father, a New York Injury Lawyer has learned. “It’s ridiculous that the dog attacked us and left us scarred for life and they still won’t put it down,” the father told a New York Injury Lawyer. “I just don’t know what it takes.”
The dog, a 3-year-old pit bull, was freed after its owner got the support of a pet advocate lawyer and agreed to build a fence topped with barbed wire to contain the animal. “You’re coming home with me,” the 23-year-old dog owner told her pet. “I love him to death.”
The trouble began when the dog got loose from its yard and attacked the little girl and her father as they walked down the sidewalk looking at Christmas lights in December of 2009. The dog bit both of the girl’s feet, which required stitches and ripped the father’s leg open, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. The father is filing a lawsuit against the dog’s owner.
The girl’s family has since moved away, which had been planned before the attack occurred.

Erie County is Sued for Wrongful Death, Reports New York City Injury Lawyer

The family of a mentally-disabled woman is suiting Erie County for her wrongful death, a New York Injury Lawyer reports. She was found dead in her home in the winter of 2009.
The claim for wrongful death is generally the first step toward filing a lawsuit. One of the charges states that Erie County Adult Protective Services and Child Protective Services were negligent and did not respond to the mental, physical, and sexual abuse of the victim. They have been accused of calling several abuse calls unfounded.
The mother of the victim is expected to plead guilty to murder, as of this writing, according to a New York Injury Lawyer. She was charged in the death of her daughter last January.
Prosecutors tell New York Injury Lawyers that the girl suffered years of torture and abuse from her mother and her half-brother. The state has been investigating the death, finding the circumstances around it suspicious, and it seems there may be plenty of blame to go around in the tragedy.
The half-brother is being assessed for competency to be tried, and it is likely the mother will confess to the murder of her daughter. The difficult case to prove may well be the state, which is what makes someone like a New York Injury Lawyer so important. Negligence can sometimes be a difficult thing to prove, but the state may well have evidence that there were calls that went ignored while the victim was being terribly abused.
If you or a loved one has suffered due to the actions or inactions of another, you have an avenue to justice in a New York Injury Attorney. You will need proper representation in court, and a New York Injury Attorney can provide just that.

Family of Asthma Victim Sues Eatery, New York City Injury Lawyer

The family of a pregnant woman who died of an asthma attack has filed a suit against the city, claiming she might have been saved if the ambulance had been better equipped, a New York Injury Lawyer has learned. Prosecutors in Brooklyn have already been looking into accusations that two city medics ignored pleas to help the woman as she struggled for breath.
An ambulance arrived from Long Island College Hospital, with only the basic life-support crew. There was no medication to revive the woman, nor was there equipment to intubate her, according to the suit. “It was a matter of life and death,” an attorney for the family told a New York Injury Lawyer.
“The combination of wrongful acts, in failing to act when the victim was in acute medical distress and the ambulance dispatched without the proper medication and equipment caused this death,” the attorney went on to say. By the time a second ambulance arrived, this time properly equipped, the victim had already been without oxygen for too long, the attorney told a New York Injury Lawyer.
The suit seeks damages from the city, the FDNY, the hospital, and one of the medics accused of ignoring the victim’s distress. The second medic, boyfriend to the first medic, was also accused of doing nothing but was shot dead outside a Manhattan nightclub in July of 2010.
