A NYPD sergeant is claiming that her recent arrest by a police captain for violating an expired order of protection was “racially motivated”, and seeks $11 million in restitution. The sergeant is black and the captain is white.

A New Hampshire family has filed a suit against SeaWorld, on behalf of a 10-year-old boy who watched an orca attack and drown a trainer.
The boy’s parents took their son to Florida in February to celebrate his 10th birthday, New York Injury Lawyers have learned. A Bronx fire burned on for more than five hours before firefighters could get it under control, destroying a row of businesses, according to New York Injury Lawyers.

The captain of a tour boat has brought a lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia and the operators of a tugboat that pushed a city barge into the smaller tour boat, resulting in the deaths of two Hungarian tourists, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer.

The mother of a 9-year-old boy killed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge in April 2010 has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against both Disney Parks and Resorts and the driver of the bus that ended the boy’s life, sources tell a New York Injury Lawyer.

The family of a pregnant woman who died of an asthma attack has filed a suit against the city, claiming she might have been saved if the ambulance had been better equipped, a New York Injury Lawyer has learned.
