Lesbian engineer seeks millions for false accusations

A 43-year old woman locomotive engineer, and self-proclaimed lesbian denies accusations of grabbing a co-worker’s breast and is suing the Long Island Rail Road for millions of dollars for the trouble, according to New York Injury Lawyers.
The woman consistently states that she only touched the accusing woman’s shoulder and was arrested unnecessarily for inappropriately touching the woman. She was then suspended without pay.
Although the district attorney in the case did NOT prosecute the woman, she has decided to sue both the Rail Road and the accuser.
Both women were engineers at the company and had a normal co-worker relationship and shared a locker. According to court reports, the woman allegedly walked over to her accusing co-worker to say hi.
"I put my hand on and squeezed her shoulder," she testified. "She said, 'What are you doing?' She said if I touched her again she'll 'break my f------ arm.'
Another co-worker, who was sitting right next to the accuser said, "she grabbed and jiggled" her breast.
New York City Injury Lawyers said the accuser had a history of making similar sexual complaints against co-workers including accusing a male co-worker of slapping her. The man was docked five days' pay whereas the lesbian lost about 20 days' pay.
One of the attorneys for LIRR insisted a proper investigation was completed.
"My client did not lie, she told the truth,” said the accuser’s attorney in his opening statement, told Manhattan Injury Lawyers.

Ex-Yankee takes no responsibility for drinking, driving and taking woman’s life

Jim Leyritz has always blamed his victim’s distracting nature and text messaging for his own drinking and driving incident and hasn’t learned a thing, according to New York Injury Lawyers.

"My life was dragged though the mud because I was a Yankee. I got tried because I'm an athlete! There was a good chance I was innocent!" exclaimed ex-New York Yankee Jim Leyritz, 46, who killed a woman driving drunk three years ago.

Leyritz, who was furious with arresting police shouted out, "I'm gonna make them lose their jobs." He went on to slander the waitress and mother who he killed that night at 3 am. "I knew the girl," he said snidely. "She was a dancer at one of the nightclubs."

When asked if the girl was a naked dancer, he said laughing, "I don't like to use the word," "She's a party girl."

NY Injury Lawyers alleged that Leyritz drove through a red light after consuming more than 10 shots of alcohol. It was never proven the light was red, and Leyritz wasn’t tested for blood alcohol till three hours later. His level was.14 which is way over the .08 legal driving limit.

Convicted by a jury of misdemeanor driving under the influence, reduced from the original charge of manslaughter, Leyritz received probation, New York Injury Lawyers stated.

"It was an accident. A one-time accident," he pleaded. "It could happen to you! You could lose three years of your life. I'm a good person!"

Being accused of injuring or killing somebody is a difficult process to go through and New York City Injury Attorneys are here to help. Your case needs sufficient time and attention to detail and nobody is more qualified than New York Injury Attorneys.

Jury awards $85,000 in damages to custodial worker for emotional distress, New York Injury Lawyers report

A custodial worker, who was terminated based on his possible mental instability, was awarded $85,000 by a jury of seven people recently. The jury believed the termination was in direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In June 2008, an arbitrator had vacated the termination and returned Mr. Pleminitas to his job, according to NY Injury Lawyers.
The custodian had been working for local area schools since 1992 and had no prior difficulties with mental distress for that entire 15 years. His supervisor alleges he displayed angry and unstable behavior in March of 2007 and suspended him for 30 days without pay. Superevisors confirm they felt the man was dangerous to others and felt he suffered from anxiety, depression and multiple mental disorders.
The school district refused to place the custodial worker back on its payroll and sought to terminate, stated a NYC Injury Lawyer. Evidence at the trial showed the lack of work and pay caused significant economic hardship and anxiety.
Testimony from the man’s psychiatrist, revealed that the man had been treated for a long time and was never considered dangerous to himself or others nor was he unable to work because of his condition. The psychiatrist pointed out the school’s failure to engage him in the process before terminating the worker and that the disciplinary charges were considered illegal because of this.
"This case represents a tremendous victory for those whose work careers are threatened by baseless stereotypes. This man has shown extraordinary courage and determination in seeing his case to a conclusion. I applaud him for standing up to power and telling the truth," a New York Injury Lawyer stated.
Being involved in a case causing you mental or physical distress can be difficult to handle for anybody.

Possible Drunk Woman arrested for striking cars and injuring, two New York Injury Lawyers Report

A 62-year-old and possibly drunk woman, drove recklessly and crashed her Mercedes-Benz several times injuring two people and damaging four vehicles in just over five minutes Tuesday, according to New York Injury Lawyers.

The suspect’s reckless tirade ended when she hit a tree, where an onlooker confiscated her keys and held her until officers arrived, NY City Car Accident Lawyers said. "She tried to get away going eastbound on Santa Cruz," said a Police spokesperson."It looked like she was trying to go across the median because she saw a lot of traffic, but was unsuccessful because of the tree."

The careless crashes began when the driver wildly backed out of her parking spot, struck two parked cars and unknowingly pinned a man between two cars. While others in the parking lot tried to help the trapped man, she turned harshly down another street and knicked two parked cars, one with a woman in it, before finally hitting the tree to stop the domino effect.

"The accidents took place in two different spots, but it didn't take that long," New York Automobile Accident Lawyers report.

Both the trapped man from the parking lot and the woman in a parked car she hit sustained minor injuries according to New York Injury Attorneys.

The alleged drunk driver was taken to the police station where she refused a field sobriety test. A Phlebotomist checked her blood and was unavailable for comment on the results. In the end, she was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, driving recklessly, and for at least two hits and runs.

Young Girl Pinned by Car Rescued

Accidents in the home require hospital visits more often than workplace injuries, as reported by a New York Injury Lawyer this week. As Parents, we do what we can to try to make our homes safe for ourselves and our family, but we cannot catch every little danger. A broken glass, some spilled liquid or a frayed electrical chord are easy to miss but have the potential for danger..

According to reports by a NY Car Accident Lawyer, it was a stray car that sent a 13 year old girl to the hospital at 7 am one morning. Just a few minutes past breakfast she was attempting to warm up the car for her ride to school, as her Dad must have let her do. Lots of teens get a kick out of starting the car before they actually have a chance to drive it. It gives them a thrill.

Manual transmissions are less common than automatics, reports the N York Injury Lawyer, and they have different mechanics under which they operate. According to reports, the manual transmission in the car slipped and the vehicle lurched forward and hit the wall, crashing through a closed garage door. The girl found herself pinned with her leg out of the car and between the garage itself and she was unable to get free.

It didn't take long for rescue workers to free her, said the New York Car Accident Lawyer, after which she was taken to the hospital and released with minor injuries. This young student got a day off that was unexpected and probably pretty scary, but she will recover. Such are the risks we take for that sense of responsibility and rush of excitement, wanting to now what is waiting just beyond the wings. As parents, we know.

Iowa State Varsity Player in Car Crash

Iowa State University is proud of their football team, the Cyclones. ISU has interesting students, interesting courses and is in the top ten across the country for its landscape architecture programs. A New York Car Accident Lawyer notes that ISU is also more isolated than other campuses. In the wee hours of January 3, one of the University's most valuable players was involved in a single person car crash.

Reports by a New York Injury Attorney said that Jordan Railey fell asleep at the wheel. As his car traveled into the center lane he struck a median and then his car apparently rolled into a nearby corn field before coming to rest. Railey was released from the hospital a few hours later. Officials say that Railey was extremely lucky to have escaped extreme injury. The team and the student body are elated.

A NY Car Accident Lawyer said days later that the investigation of the crash on January 3 is ongoing and that the results will be released. Jordan Railey s one of the schools most well loved athletes and is no doubt very happy to be alive. However, he was apparently suspended from one game last weekend and it was not yet known whether or not he was suspended because of the accident he was in last week.

A New York City Injury Attorney has some tips on how to avoid accidents while driving. Always be alert and attentive. Do not drink and drive. Do not drive alone. Pull over if you are falling asleep. Do not text and drive. Following these guidelines will keep you safer.

Accidents happen more because of texting than talking on the phone. If you have been involved in an accident that resulted from texting, call a new Your NY Car Accident Attorney now. Injuries can be complicated and take time to heal. For an injury settlement, call a New York Injury Lawyer. They will be on your side.

What Did Brett Favre Do, Exactly?

For now, at least, the behavior of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is not a legal issue, but something for the NFL commissioner to mull over, according to a New York Injury Lawyer.
The league is investigating whether or not Favre acted inappropriately toward a Jets employee while he was with the New York Jets in 2008. NY Injury Attorneys point out that there are a number of criteria that must be met for something to qualify as sexual harassment. For instance, there are no laws against texting or emailing sexually explicit photos.
“Because Mr. Favre was not this woman’s employer, it might be a situation with the Jets. The team has responsibilities to its other employees,” said an attorney in the matter to a NYC Injury Lawyer. “Right now, they’re just investigating what was said, and it’s not sexual harassment if the (conduct) was welcome.”
What about the photos? The attorney continued on to say, “that’s a First Amendment issue, which is protected as long as it isn’t child pornography. You could even say it’s art.” The NFL commissioner did not state exactly what policies Favre may have violated. Favre himself apologized to his team for causing the distraction before his team lost a game to the Jets.
The usual legal standard for sexual harassment includes the following: unwelcome advances; pervasive behavior that creates a hostile work environment; and the filing of any complaint. The league, however, can disclipline players without legal charges, by imposing a fine or suspension.
No one should be above the law, no matter how famous or powerful. If you have been harmed by another, a New York City Injury Attorney can assist you in bringing your case before legal authorities. Justice must be served and a New York Injury Attorney can help you achieve it.

Youth and Inexperience a Major Source of Accidents

Our roadways are in a constant state of flux, just ask any NY Car Accident Lawyer. Every month new, young drivers, full of possibility and excitement for their commuter futures, line up to receive their drivers license, to be turned loose upon the highways, hopefully with enough training to keep from hurting themselves or others.

According to reports by a New York Injury Lawyer, however, the enthusiasm that a new driver may be feeling is often accompanied by nervousness and their lack of experience behind the wheel could be the major cause of traffic accidents, since they lack the competence to see all potential situations and to effectively deal with them.

Of course, a little fender bender is no big deal, for the most part. It might upset a young drivers parents and it might do a bit of damage, resulting in nothing more than an insurance claim, says the New York Auto Accident Lawyer. Unfortunately, the oversight is not always a small one, and serious accidents and even death can occur.

According to a New York City Injury Lawyer, the failure of new drivers to heed road signs, combined with excess speed, is a major cause of accidents resulting in death in people under the age of 20. Driving is a privilege, and one that most teens wait for with extreme anticipation. Teaching our young people the basics is not enough when it comes to letting new drivers loose on the roadways. We need to instill a sense of responsibility in them before they are forced to take responsibility for hurting someone else.

Have you been involved in an auto accident recently? If you need representation a New York Car Accident Attorney will provide you with the information that you need to get your case up and running. If there are injuries involved then a NYC Injury Attorney has the answers to your most pressing questions.

Unsung Heroes are a Celebration of Human Spirit

Most of us consider ourselves to be good people. We like ourselves and we imagine that the things that we do, we do for the benefit of other people. Most of us would be wrong in that assumption, however, as Americans have proven again and again to be selfish, self absorbed and for the most part, narcissistic in many ways, according to one NYC Auto Accident Lawyer. When the big stuff hits the fan, true character emerges.

It can be surprising to see the level of denial that some people will take when being faced with a challenging situation. One New York Injury Lawyer went so far as to allude that desperation, such as during crisis situations, reveals the soul of a person for all to see. People who continuously deny responsibility are not seeing the big picture. We are each intimately responsible for our role in what occurs in our lives.

A real hero understands this fact, according to a NY Car Accident Lawyer who has seen the best and worst of people in times of crisis. A true hero is willing to put themselves on the line for the safety and the good of others. For example a police officer who dies in an accident while trying to get to the scene has put his life on the line for his job, but also for the safety of others.

One prominent New York Injury Lawyer goes so far as to recognize that even though it seems that heroic actions are far less common than selfish ones, that we all have within us the capability to be heroes, even if it is in some small way. We might not rescue a baby from a burning building in our lifetime, but when we extend ourselves outwards to others with selflessness, our unsung hero nature shines through.

In times of crisis and uncertainty, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. If you or someone you love has been involved in an auto accident, a New York Car Accident Attorney is the one to call for resolutions. If injuries have been sustained then a reputable New York Injury Attorney can help you sort out the details of your case.

Rural Roads Pose Different Risks

A New York City Injury Lawyer sees all kinds of interesting cases come through the door. Accidents of all kinds are a part of life, and sorting them out is a great way to make a living. Many accidents happen on rural roads even though they are much less populated than urban roads. Rural roads are often dark and small, have lots of hills and windy bends and curves. They do not have bright overhead lights shining down to illuminate your way. You see by the light of the headlights and the moon.

A New York Car Accident Lawyer adds that many people do not decrease their speeds when traveling through a rural area, and it is this excessive speed that causes their initial loss of control of the car. Once that happens, the chain reaction is begun and all you can do is, well, hope. Rural roads account for many deaths each year, both here and in the UK, where jst last week a man died in a two car crash on a rural road. the accident aparently forced him into a heart attack, which paramedics could not revive him from once they had him freed from the vehicle.

Sometimes wildlife are to blame for the injuries and accidents on rural roads, moreso than in the city. One New York Injury Lawyer insists that the animals get larger the farther away from the city that you get, and large deer and even cows or bulls are not out of the question. They show up in the middle of the road, and a driver has few options. The busy city sees more concrete impedements, like stalled cars UPS delivery trucks. Farm equipment is also a cause for accident on rural roads, as such large machinery travels slowly and has been the cause of accidents.

A New York Car Accident Attorney says that the number of accidents on rural roads is consistent with the types of incidents that occur there. In other words, large livestock and heavy farming equipment, dark streets, curves and hills, all of these unique aspects of rural living make for a different set of circumstances.

If you live in a rural area and are in need of support or representation after an accident, call a New York Car Accident Attorney for help. In the case of injuries feel free to call a New York Injury Attorney to help you with your claims.

Pollution Killing Small Town

A town is desperate for work. People from all walks of life pray daily that someone, somewhere will show up and simply give them an opportunity to work. They want to get up at dawn and return at dusk, happy to know they put in an honest day's labor. Which is why they were happy when the plant first showed up. Their prayers had been answered and there was money and work and food and happiness for everyone.

But, be careful what you wish for.

The sickness started a few years later. Children were developing unusually high rates of asthma, said a New York City Injury Lawyer. And then there was the cancer. For one family, it was a terrible dream, a nightmare, repeating itself. They had fled one town 15 years ago because of concerns over pollution and now they were haunted again by the same scenario, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. Their little girl was growing sick and they knew the cause: the local gas drilling plant was polluting the soil. The pollution was leaking into the ground, contaminating it, and making the school - the local school! - an unsafe place for children to walk, run, play, eat, sleep, breath, and drink. One half mile away, that's how close it was to the school, notes a New York Injury Lawyer. With more drilling stations being placed all over town, right next to people's homes and places of business. Death was literally all around.

And now, maybe again, that family is going to have to pack up and move. Just so they can live.

If you have been the victim of injury, you have rights that deserve to be protected. Contact a New York Injury Attorney today.

Boys Orphaned As Mother Dies

So young and full of promise. And the good news is he is still alive. The bad news? His parents are not. A young boy, hopeful and happy and joyful and as so many said of him, a wonderful soul to be around, is now without parents, said a New York Injury Attorney. His mom and dad, the two people put on this earth to protect and love him and care for him, to feed him and clothe him, to make sure that when he cries at night he is not alone, have been ripped from him. Torn away from his breast, never again to return, all because of an accident, notes a NY Car Accident Lawyer. And worst of all: there are not one, but three boys. Three boys, now forever marked with as "orphans."

Their father was already dead. Tragically, he was taken from them earlier this year after a long and painful battle with cancer. All they had left was their mother. And now she too is gone. Never again will she walk this mortal coil, all because of her car, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. She was driving down the highway, proceeding cautiously because of the icy conditions, when suddenly she was no longer driving but sliding. Sliding out of control, her car picking up momentum as it lost direction, and then it stopped. It stopped because he was slammed into by a truck, said a New York Car Accident Lawyer. A truck that had also been out of control.

The family will look after the boys. Compensation will be sought. But their mother will never return.

If you have lost a loved one due to a car accident, contact a New York Injury Attorney today. You deserve to receive full justice as provided by law.

North and South Bring Different Perspectives on Drilling, says New York Injury Lawyer

Location, location, location. With property, it always comes down to where you are buying. And natural gas companies are learning this lesson time and time again, says a New York Injury Lawyer. Setting up a new rig in the South is no big deal. The people there are used to oil and natural gas drilling and most all of the welcome the prospect, notes a Personal Injury Lawyer. It creates jobs and most everyone who lets the company use their property almost always finds themselves far more wealthy because of it. It is a historical way of life for one generation after another.

But up North? Things are different in the North. States in the North East find themselves occupied by a different sort of person. Where there is gratitude down South, there are law suits up North, says a New York City Injury Lawyer. People are more concerned, it appears, about pollution and protecting their children. Or, maybe it's just because their economy in general is better and they can afford to not take the oil and natural gas money. Every property owner has a different reason, but it has become a new way of doing business for the oil and natural gas industry: down South, you'll make money; up North, you'll make law suits, reports a New York Injury Lawyer.

But, wherever these plants open they tend to make folks rich, notes a New York Injury Lawyer. Dirt poor families wake up the next day with more money than they know how to spend. It just depends on your location, that's all.

If you have been a victim of environmental poisoning, you have rights that need to be protected. Contact a New York Injury Attorney today.

Group Pushes for New Warnings on Cigarettes

Smoking kills. Smoking is dangerous. You should not smoke. It is bad for you. Do not sell cigarettes to children. This has been the non-stop mantra of anti-smoking activists for decades now. Everyone knows it, notes a NY Injury Lawyer. There is no secret anymore. The tobacco companies have all paid up, making restitution for past sins, and the world has moved on. People know smoking will kill them but they do so anyways, for whatever reasons they choose.

But this isn't enough. No, now these nanny state do gooders want to take it another step further. They want to pass a law requiring all packages of smokes to feature grotesque pictures of dead babies, blackened lungs, and dying babies, says a New York Injury Lawyer. Already, packages of smokes carry warning labels that flat say YOU WILL DIE IF YOU USE THIS PRODUCT! But, that isn't enough. It's never enough. They must fight until no one is ever allowed to use a product they simply don't like. They have decided, they have said they know what is best, and they will not stop until everyone agrees with their line of thinking.

The warnings wouldn't be simple either, of course not, notes a New York Injury Attorney. No, instead they will be so big and grotesque that they will likely take up an entire side of a package, reports a New York Injury Lawyer. Imagine having a product and not even being able to control what it looks like? That is the future they demand.

Smoking can kill but businesses have rights and those rights can be violated in such a way that it requires the attention of a skilled New York Injury Attorney. Contact one today!

Truck Driver Avoids Car, Saves Lives, then Dies

Driving. A cathartic activity for most. An activity that carried with it potential danger but a danger that most of us manage to avoid in our lives. And on one particular day that horror that followed from a simple driving mistake is almost unimaginable, says a New York Injury Lawyer. A terrible chain reaction lead to the eventual death of a man. What happened is this: a man was driving his car while his girlfriend sat in the passengers seat. Somehow, and no one is exactly sure how but they know it happened, his car stalled. He was unable to turn the wheel yet the car continued forward. It was then that he first his another car, notes a New York Injury Lawyer. This was the first link in the chain.

What happened next was a haunting terror that follows the man to this very day. A massive truck carrying fuel came barreling down towards him, with just a few seconds and feet separating the two from death. The trucker veered off to the side, to avoid hitting the man's stalled car, reports a New York Injury Attorney. Witnesses say the truck driver surely saved lives with his action. But he did not save his own. His truck flipped, spilling fuel everywhere, and then a huge explosion followed. The trucker was trapped in his truck as he literally began to burn alive, says a New York Injury Lawyer. The smell of flesh was everywhere. The trucked escaped but it was too little too late and he died at the hospital.

A day that started like every other, ending like no other.

Cruise Ship Passengers Forced to Eat Rotten Food

They were forced to eat rotten food and stale bread. Spoiled milk was on the menu for one couple, who were celebrating their honeymoon, says a New York Injury Lawyer. A young couple, deeply in love, hoping to begin the rest of their lives, now forced to survive on rotten milk and aged turkey sandwiches. They had their choice between fruit that had gone bad or fruit that was not yet good, noted a New York Injury Lawyer. They all lived in fear of eating anything because they just didn't know what it was. The poor honey mooning couple had to clean out their own toilet because the over powering stench of fecal matter was so bad they could not sleep, says a NYC Injury Lawyer. Yes, they spent their honey moon sleeping next to human waste.

Some passengers on the cruise ship that was stranded in the middle of the ocean tried their best to make a bad situation good, pretending they were camping by sleeping on the deck at night, notes a New York City Injury Lawyer. But that was little comfort when word came that one of the rescue boats had broken down. Another tragic event for those trapped. And even once they eventually would get to shore, if they ever did, there was more bad news: the cruise ship company was desperately trying to find hotels and plane tickets for everyone on board. And that was proving to be difficult. But, there was some light at the end of the tunnel: the bar finally opened.

Texting Can Be More Dangerous Than Drinking

Texting while driving can be even more dangerous than driving while under the influence, a New York Injury Lawyer reports. Yet the laws still do not reflect that.
The last words of a Malibu plastic surgeon, famed for his work on TV stars, were “Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune”. He texted these words just before driving his car off a cliff. Jill survived the accident.
Another accident in 2007 killed a texter and four other members of a New York high school cheerleading squad. The message, whatever it was, resulted in the car slamming head-on into a truck, killing all five teenagers. The Chatsworth train collision in 2008, in which 25 people died and more than 100 were injured was another horrible accident where texting was involved – the engineer of the Metrolink commuter train was distracted by text messaging.
Laws regarding texting while driving were a big topic of discussion at the Transportation Department’s Distracted Driving Summit on September 21, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer. The summit found that laws regarding texting while driving are not very realistic about the reasons why cellphones and moving vehicles are a deadly combination or in ways to deal with stopping it.
66% of respondents do a 2007 poll admitted to texting while driving, a New York Injury Lawyer has discovered, yet 89% percent said it should be banned. The youngest drivers, already more prone to accidents than the rest of the population, are more guilty of texting while driving than other groups.
Even if something is not against the law, if it harms another, it can become a legal case. If you or a loved one has been harmed by such an incident, it’s time to talk to a New York Injury Attorney. It is vital that you get the compensation you need, so you can get on with your life. A New York Injury Attorney can help bring your case to a swift and fair resolution.

Federal Government Involved in Bullying Case, Reports NYC Injury Lawyer

The U.S. Department of Education and the Hawaii public school system have come to an agreement regarding a complaint about bullying lodged by the parents of a high school student, sources tell a New York Injury Lawyer.
The parents of the teen girl were not sure why their daughter would never want to go to school. When she did go, she was always late to class, according to calls from the office. The parents said their daughter was harassed for some time until she broke down and finally told them just what had happened to her.
“She started to wake up crying in the middle of the night and then she confided they were threatening her. They said watch your back,” the mother told a New York Injury Lawyer. “They were saying things like ‘haole cockroaches can’t use these stairs.’ They were physically threatening her, taunting her about her appearance,” said the father to a New York Injury Lawyer.
Attempts to solve the problem with the school and with the district got no results, so the parents took their complaint to the U.S. Department of Education. Thanks to actions by the U.S. DOE, the staff and administrators of the high school will begin sexual and racial harassment training to learn ways to deal with harassment and complaints and identify problems.
“The training and notice are intended to make sure the department of education policy is no sexual harassment, no racial harassment. It is not acceptable and we are taking this seriously,” a Hawaii school superintendent told a New York Injury Attorney.

Judge Uses Skill With Mules in Court

A U.S. District Court judge is using his farm expertise to help him in the courtroom, according to a New York Injury Lawyer. The judge, based out of Little Rock, Arkansas, is currently making his way through some of the 8,000 lawsuits worth millions of dollars in damages regarding menopause drugs made by Pfizer.
Mules are well-known for being stubborn, of course, but they also have a strong “sense of self preservation,” the judge told a New York Injury Lawyer. “ They are like lawyers in that regard.”
The judge will not consolidate all his cases into a class action lawsuit and will preside over a stand-alone trial for damages allegedly caused by the drug in question. He is also prone to avoid settling a case. He gives both his lawyers and his mules the chance to take things in their own directions. The 70-year-old judge is known for using humor in the court and in his rulings, sources told a New York Injury Lawyer.
Once, he warned lawyers scheduling pretrial witness sessions not to “load one firm’s wagon with more poles than a mule can pull.” He has also been known to say the chance of him making a certain ruling had “as much chance as a gnat has flying out of tar paper.” “He’s got a million of those sayings,” a Little Rock attorney told a New York Injury Lawyer. “While he has a homespun manner, he backs that up with a sharp legal mind and well-reasoned decisions.”
Should the time come for you to stand before a judge and/or a jury in a personal injury proceeding, you can do no better than to have a New York Injury Attorney at your side. Your case should be treated with the utmost importance, which means using the services of a New York Injury Attorney to represent you.

Helmet Maker and CSA Win Lawsuit Regarding Brain-Damaged Man, NY Injury Lawyers Reports

A family in British Colombia, Canada sued the Canadian Standards Association and a helmet manufacturer, after their young son sustained a severe injury, sources tell a New York Injury Lawyer. They have recently lost their suit.
Their son was 17 in 2004 and playing AAA hockey when he fell into the boards during a game in Esquimalt, B.C. Soon after that, began vomiting and his condition quickly deteriorated. He had suffered a subdural hematoma, which led to brain damage.
His parents sued the helmet maker, claiming they made a helmet that was not adequately safe. They also sued the Canadian Standards Association for not either not having standards strong enough or not warning those who wore their helmets of the associated risks.
A B.C. Supreme Court judge concluded there was nothing to show that stricter standards would have prevented the 17-year-old’s injuries. He also pointed out that the boy knew hockey and knew the risk. “Before his accident, [the injured boy] was aware that people suffer head injuries while playing hockey despite wearing the CSA-approved helmets,” the judge told a New York Injury Lawyer.
“[The young man] himself suffered two concussions prior to the accident, and at least one other teammate had suffered a concussion while wearing a CSA-approved helmet. [He] was clearly aware of the risks associated with playing hockey, even while wearing a helmet, and like hundres of thousands of other Canadians, chose to play anyway.”
If you or a love one have suffered a loss due to the negligence of another, a New York Injury Attorney may be your best recourse. Your case should have its day in court and a New York Injury Lawyer should be there to represent you.

Pace Football Star May Have Been Killed for Moving Car

The Pace University football star who was slain by cops outside a Westchester bar may have only been trying to move his car, a family friend told a New York Injury Lawyer. The father of a passenger in that car said the driver thought an officer only knocked on his window to get him to move out of the fire lane.
The passenger’s father told a New York Injury Lawyer “an officer jumped out from between cars and started firing, and then the next thing [the young men] knew, [one cop] was on the hood.” The student “yelled several times as they were pulling him out of the vehicle, screaming, “They shot me! They shot me! They shot me!” the passenger’s father told a New York Injury Lawyer.
“After he’s been shot, and to lay him on the ground, face down, bleeding, handcuffed and to be left there like some wild wounded animal on the side of the road shouldn’t happen.” The passenger himself had also been shot in the arm. He told a New York Injury Lawyer, “In my heart, what went on that night… it didn’t need to come that.
“Whether we were trying to drive away or not… there was no need for any of that to happen. “I’m just devastated.” The passenger was a child hood friend of the driver. The family feels that the football star may have been singled out by the police because he was a young African-American.
Nothing can erase a tragedy, but those who perpetrate one should not be allowed to get away with it. A New York Injury Attorney is ready to make sure that doesn’t happen.
