A three car crash ended the life of a Bronx County Resident. She was thrown through the driver’s side window of her 1998 Ford Expedition. Manhattan resident Tom Brokaw who is also a former NBC news anchor for NBC was also involved in this fatal accident, but he was not injured. It is believed that the cause of the accident was the debris along the northbound lanes of the Bruckner Expressway. It was noted that the woman sped up to avoid a spool of cable bouncing in the right lane. Her Ford Expedition than hit a mail truck that was driving in the center lane which ultimately pushed him into the left lane into Brokaw’s vehicle. The postal worker was taken to Westchester Medical Center. No one is facing criminal charges but the postal worker was taken to the hospital with bumps and bruises on his shoulder.
