Flames In An Apartment Fire Leave Firefighter and Three Residents Injured Reports a New York Injury Lawyer

by

Firefighters attempted to put out a place in a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex. The fire started shortly before 3:00 AM and before firefighters could get to the scene, heavy smoke and flames were billowing through the first floor. The flames quickly made a way to the second floor and the severity of the blaze was the reason for the second alarm. New York Injury Lawyers reported that one firefighter was injured in the blaze and three other residents were rescued from the second floor balcony of the complex.

The firm of Steve Bilkis and Associates can be reached for an initial, free no-obligation consultation in regard to the injuries sustained by this fire. The EMS crews reported that three residents were treated for smoke inhalation and that the firefighter apparently slipped and suffered an ankle injury while fighting the blaze.

New York Injury Lawyers report that five units of the apartment were destroyed in the complex fire and the Red Cross was providing nine residents with temporary shelter. New York Injury Lawyers report that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
