A group of college professors conspired to create a sex lair, a place where they would take undergrad students, have sex with the girls, photograph them nude, threaten to release the photos of the girls ever spoke, and then give the students higher grades in return for the sex, according to officials at a university, said a New York Injury Lawyer. The professors, four in all, called themselves the “Nigerian Mafia” and were on the faculty at a historically all black university. University officials immediately dismissed the four professors for their actions, noted a New York Injury Lawyer.
The university initially was silent on the matter but came forward after a professors’ rights organization complained that the professors were denied their due process of law rights, said a New York Injury Lawyer. The university then felt they had to come forward and explain what the professors had done in order to warrant being fired.
The students were sexually abused and threatened with public humiliation said the university. The four professors would threaten to publish nude photos of the girls on the social networking site, Facebook, if they ever reported the professors heinous actions, said a New York Injury Lawyer. Professors also allegedly attempted to rape some girls.
In response the professors’ rights organization stated that they were not defending the professors’ actions per se but rather the seeming arbitrary nature of the process, noted a Personal Injury Attorney. The organization says that a professors should not be fired based on anonymous reports and that they were all entitled to a full hearing.
